DEVELOPMENT OF CASE METHOD FORMATS: VIDEO STORY AS A SOLUTION

The necessity to find the best teaching solutions, study and evaluate their didactic potential updates the task of selecting and presenting specific teaching techniques that have advantages for both teacher and students. Teaching methods and techniques are actively evolving. This evolution is associated with the necessity to combine competency-based and interdisciplinary approaches. The article describes one of the areas of development of the case method. The purpose is to show that the popular teaching technology (case method) is evolving and acquiring new formats, the emergence of which enriches pedagogical practice and contributes to the achievement of better learning outcomes. The study presents the real experience (participation in an interuniversity competition for solving cases in English) and uses it as research strategy.
