A set of tasks for improving the metaphorical competence of language university students

The aim of this research is to develop a set of tasks for improving the metaphorical competence of language university students. The presented article systematizes the views of scientists on the linguodidactic potential of studying metaphors and the essence of the metaphorical competence of learners. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the integrative description of the metaphorical competence of language university students as an essential component of all components of communicative competence. As a result of the conducted research, the author develops a set of linguistic and communicative tasks based on various Internet resources to improve the metaphorical competence of language university students at the present stage of education.
