The Relationship Between Amiodarone and Pulmonary Function Following Lung Transplant
<h2>Abstract</h2> The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between use of amiodarone vs rate control medications and pulmonary function at 6 months and 12 months and survival in patients with postoperative atrial arrhythmias after bilateral lung transplant. Pulmonary function did not differ between groups when adjusting for baseline factors. Odds for being alive at 6 and 12 months were lower in the amiodarone group. Use of amiodarone for treatment of atrial arrhythmias after bilateral lung transplant was not related to graft function in the first 12 months and can reassure nurse practitioners on the use of amiodarone.
