A Study of Static State Estimation of AC microgrid
State estimation process is used for estimating the microgrid’s parameters (voltage, current, and phase angles) and real-time operating conditions. Results from a number of mathematical algorithms and simulations are taken for the state estimation process. Before state estimation many problem were faced such as, inaccurate monitoring, poor control and stability, inefficient energy management etc. Now a days state estimation helps in improving reliability and enhanced monitoring and Control Operations. The reliability and efficacy of electrical power systems have significantly improved in recent years due to the broad adoption of AC microgrids. This paper explores the state estimation techniques for accurately determining the parameters of AC microgrids, which are useful for their optimal operation, control, and protection. The paper provides a comprehensive overview of the various methodologies used in state estimation, including conventional based method’s, machine learning based approaches and simulations based approaches. Finally, the review identifies future research areas and highlights the importance of more robust and adaptable state estimation methods in order to improve AC microgrid efficiency.
