Performance Enhancement of Grid Integrated Photovoltaic System using Active Current Separation Technique
The integration of solar photovoltaic array needs a robust and fast control structure for dynamic performance. In view of this, a new active current separation technique-based controller is designed for faster inverter response under one AC power cycle during sudden switching in nonlinear load and photovoltaic current. This controller has unique capability of active current component separation with the help of simple mathematical operators. Moreover, optimized gains parameters is refined the response of outer voltage control loop. The proposed control structure continuously provides the load demand and supports the existing grid by supplying the maximum amount of available solar power at DC-bus terminals. Furthermore, the proposed system is designed to maintain power qualities, such as current balancing, harmonic mitigation, minimization of reactive power, improvement of power factor. The efficacy of control structure is tested through MATLAB/Simulink for various operating scenarios and validated using real time simulator OPAL-RT(OP4510)
