Load Restoration of Distribution Network with Solar-Storage-Charging Stations Integration
Power system outages, particularly those caused by extreme weather, are becoming increasingly frequent and result in substantial economic and social costs. Rapid restoration of power services following a blackout is essential to enhance power system resilience. To address the issue of load restoration following extreme disasters, distributed resources can be used as emergency backups. With the increasing number of electric vehicles (EVs), charging station becomes a critical coupling node in the distribution network. Thus, a load restoration strategy based on solar-storage-charging (SSC) stations scheduling strategy is proposed in this paper. Firstly, photovoltaic (PV), energy storage system (ESS), and EV charging characteristics in SSC stations are modeled under extreme conditions. Then the collaborative load restoration strategy is established based on the branch flow model (BFM) in the distribution network. Finally, a mathematical optimization framework is constructed, and a tractable solution can be obtained. The results demonstrate that the proposed strategy effectively leverages the flexibility of EV energy, coordinating the decision-making of SSC stations and other DGs under emergency, thereby enhancing the restoration of critical loads to some extent.
