Simulation Research on GIS Temperature Field Distribution Characteristics under Different Influencing Factors
Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) is widely used in power systems, but it is still faced with problems such as difficult detection of heat loss, high current density, and large eddy current loss, which threaten the dependable operation of the system. Therefore, in this study, the electromagnetic and temperature field distribution characteristics of GIS are explored and their distribution rules are revealed through the multi-physics coupled simulation of electromagnetic-flow-thermal fields. At the same time, the influence of sunshine radiation, rated current and ambient temperature on GIS temperature distribution is analyzed. The outcomes demonstrate that in the GIS cross section, a left-right symmetrical physical pat-tern may be seen in its temperature distribution, with the upper temperature being greater than the lower temperature; Sunlight radiation has a significant impact on GIS temperature increase; The biggest factor influencing the GIS's temperature rise is its operational current; The effect of external environmental temperature on GIS temperature rise is less obvious.
