Single Inductor Dual Output DC-DC Converter
This paper presents a single-inductor, dual-output DC-DC converter. Conventional two-single output converters are available to obtain dual output voltages, however they have drawback of being expensive and large in volume. Therefore, the SIDO (unidirectional) focuses to reduce component count and cost. This work outlines and evaluates the boost-type SIDO converter. Furthermore, the use of PV as a source, plus a DC-AC converter/inverter, is proposed to supply power to the grid. The implementation of a closed loop structure to reduce the interdependency of two switches is further explored.
