Study on Simulation Model of Synergistic Reduction of Pollution and Carbon Emissions in Cities

The research on synergistic reduction of pollution and carbon emissions is of great significance for cities to improve atmospheric environment quality and realize low-carbon transition. In this paper, Tianjin is used as an example to build an energy-economy-environment-carbon emission simulation and analysis model. Analysis is made on the synergistic reduction effects on atmospheric pollutants and CO<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf> in Tianjin under measures of adjusting industrial structure, improving energy efficiency, enhancing electrification level, and increasing external electricity proportion. The results show that the measures for increasing energy efficiency have the best synergistic reduction effect, followed by adjusting industrial structure. The synergistic reduction effect between NOx and CO<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf> is better than that between SO<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf> and CO<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf>.
