PV-fed Flyback-type Single-stage Single-phase Grid-tied System

This paper presents a design and control of a PV-fed flyback-type single-stage single-phase grid-tied system (PVFSSGS). This single-stage topology reduces the system complexity, provides electrical isolation among PV panels and the grid, and mitigates the circulation of leakage current. The PVFSSGS’s control ensures the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) operation and delivers the power to the grid in a synchronized fashion. The MPPT operation is achieved by using a novel reduced-rule fuzzy logic control. To ensure the control in real-time, it is implemented on controller TMS320F28379D, and real-time signals are sensed using a low-cost isolation amplifier (HCPL-7840) based signal condition circuits.
