Day-ahead Optimal Dispatch for Wind-Photovoltaic-Storage System Based on Minimum Inertia Evaluation of GFMS

The high proportion of wind power and photovoltaic (PV) brings many new challenges to the frequency stability and operation scheduling of power systems. In order to realize the day-ahead scheduling of Wind-Photovoltaic-Storage System considering frequency stability, this paper proposes a day-ahead optimal scheduling method of Wind-Photovoltaic-Storage System based on the minimum inertia evaluation of grid-forming storage (GFMS). Firstly, the system frequency response (SFR) model of Wind-Photovoltaic-Storage System is constructed by considering the frequency response characteristics of the grid-following (GFL) control and the grid-forming (GFM) control. Then, the minimum inertia that needs to be provided by GFMS is evaluated by the optimization method, and the maximum response power of GFMS in the frequency response is obtained as the power reserve. Finally, the optimal scheduling model of Wind-Photovoltaic-Storage System day-ahead that smoothes the fluctuation of system power output and reduces the peak-to-valley range of system power output is constructed by combining the above standby boundary conditions. The feasibility and effectiveness of the method are verified through the simulation analysis of the Wind-Photovoltaic-Storage System for the evaluation of the minimum inertia of GFMS and the day-ahead optimal dispatch.
