Thermal comfort based load aggregation model for fixed and inverter air-conditioning and schedulable potential assessment
With the ongoing development of demand-side management in power systems, air conditioning loads—one of the primary loads during the summer—have garnered increasing attention due to their regulation potential. This paper establishes a single fixed-frequency inverter air conditioning load model based on the operational characteristics of air conditioners. Additionally, a corresponding aggregation model is constructed, reflecting the characteristics of air conditioning loads in relation to the thermal comfort of various users. By simulating the air conditioning usage patterns of different user groups, this study analyzes the magnitude of load aggregation and calculates the adjustable capacity of air conditioning loads by adjusting the target temperature. The findings indicate that the adjustable capacity of air conditioning loads can be effectively calculated through the method of adjusting the target temperature, thereby providing dispatchable support to the power grid. The results of this research offer a novel approach to demand-side management in the power system, which is beneficial for mitigating fluctuations in the power grid and achieving load shifting and valley filling. Ultimately, the reasonableness and validity of the dispatch are confirmed through an arithmetic example.
