Modeling Method for Dynamic Dispatchable Region of Flexible Regulation Resources and Its Application
The integration of large-scale distributed energy resources (DERs) presents significant challenges for operation and control of next-generation power system. While these resources enhance grid flexibility and provide emergency support, their inherent uncertainty complicates the accurate quantification of their regulation capacities. This paper proposes a dynamic dispatchable region modeling method for DERs, utilizing a vertex enumeration approach by solving an optimal power flow problem under specified power factor to generate a vertex set, whose convex hull defines the boundaries of the dispatchable region. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through the modeling of the dynamic dispatchable region in an IEEE 33-bus distribution system, and its applicability is further verified in the coordinated optimal dispatch of integrated transmission and distribution systems (IT&Ds).
