Innovative V2G Control Strategy for Isolated AC-DC Matrix Converters

To enhance the safety and stability of Vehicle-to-Grid interactions within new power systems, and to improve the seamless integration of a large number of electric vehicles with the power grid, this paper introduces a novel V2G control strategy for electric vehicles utilizing Isolated AC-DC Matrix Converters. An advanced Virtual Synchronous Generator control strategy, which engages in coordinated modulation, has been developed. This approach not only ensures safer charging and discharging processes for electric vehicles but also simulates the inertial and damping characteristics of synchronous generators. It effectively mitigates the grid impacts associated with mass electric vehicle integration, thereby enhancing the overall stability of modern power systems. A simulation of the electric vehicle charging and discharging process was conducted using MATLAB/Simulink, confirming the validity and feasibility of the proposed strategy.
