Partial Discharge Pattern Recognition of MV Switchgear Based on Fluorescent Optical Fiber
This paper presents the measurement results of light signals emitted by partial discharges in MV switchgear, obtained using fluorescent optical fibers. It identifies and analyzes the Phase-Resolved Partial Discharge (PRPD) spectra, N-φ spectra, and V-φ spectra of the partial discharge pulse signals. The measurements were conducted on a partial discharge experimental detection research platform, where three typical defects in MV switchgear were created: needle-plate corona discharge, floating discharge, and surface discharge. The developed partial discharge micro-light monitoring system was used to analyze the light signals from these typical defects. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of using fluorescent optical fibers to detect and identify the types of partial discharge in MV switchgear.
