Determination of short-circuit reactance of transformers from SFRA measurements
The short circuit reactance of transformers is an accepted parameter for determining the mechanical integral of the windings. It is usually measured in the factory during load loss measurements. SFRA (Sweep Frequency Response Analysis) measurements carried out in the end-to-end short circuit mode have the same measurement configuration as that of load loss. Hence, a novel method for determination of short-circuit reactance from SFRA measurements is presented in this paper. The method is validated by field measurements on transformers belonging to different vector groups.
