Experimental Study on Spectral Signal Characteristics of Internal Discharge Arc in Switch Cabinet
Aiming at the discharge phenomena in high-voltage switch cabinet, an experimental platform was designed and built to study the effects of different electrode types, electrode materials, and voltages on discharge characteristics. Through spectral detection technology, the spectral distribution characteristics of arc discharge were analyzed, with a focus on examining the discharge characteristics of materials such as copper, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum zinc plating. The experimental results show that the discharge of electrodes with different materials can be effectively identified through their characteristic spectra. As the discharge energy increases, the light intensity increases, and the ionization ratio changes. Although different materials may contain the same elements, their difficulty in excitation varies. The discharge spectrum is mainly distributed in three bands: ultraviolet light, visible light, and infrared light. Among them, ultraviolet light is more distributed and still accounts for a certain proportion with the increase of electric field intensity, which can be used as a signal characteristic quantity for discharge warning. This paper provides a theoretical basis for determining the type of arc discharge and diagnosing discharge phenomena in a timely manner through the analysis of spectral data.
