History of the IEEE Organizational Reliability Capability Standard
This is the sixth article for the Standards Column in the new Reliability Magazine. This paper summarizes the history and current status of the IEEE Reliability Society Standards Committee standard on organizational reliability capability. This is the first standard of its kind. This groundbreaking standard is IEEE 1624-2008, the IEEE Standard for Organizational Reliability Capability. This document supports IEEE 1332-1998, IEEE Standard Reliability Program for the Development and Production of Electronic Systems and Equipment.
