Reliability Evaluation of Isolated Dual Active Bridge Converter
Dual active bridge converter (DAB) converter has gain popularity recently because of zero voltage switching and bidirectional power flow. Bidirectional power flow allows Grid to vehicle and Vehicle to grid power flow hence transforming the consumer to a prosumer. Aim of this paper is to compute reliability of DAB converter in terms of failure rate of components of DAB converter. Failure rate of different components of DAB converter have been computed using MIL-HDBK-217F. Also, it has been demonstrated using computed reliability that which component is most important in terms of DAB reliability.
