Cooperative Yaw and Induction Control for Wind Farm and Its Effectiveness in Providing Secondary Frequency Regulation
This paper introduces a novel dual point gradient descent method specifically designed to tackle the challenge of local optima in wind farm power optimization problems. Unlike conventional approaches that frequently get trapped in suboptimal solutions, this method enhances the likelihood of achieving global optimality. We extensively test the proposed approach through a series of case studies, focusing on its convergence speed and capability to maintain global optimality, particularly for wind farms operating in Automatic Generation Control (AGC) mode. The results confirm the method’s effectiveness, showcasing its potential as a robust solution for optimizing wind farm power output under varying operational conditions.
