Framework for Zero-Carbon Park Pathway Development: Integrating Subsystem Synergies through Energy and Carbon Flow Analysis

The global shift towards carbon neutrality has underscored the importance of transforming industrial parks, which significantly contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. This study presents the Integrated Subsystem Synergistic Pathway (ISSP) Framework, a systematic model tailored to guide the zero-carbon transition of industrial parks. Structured in three stages—Energy and Carbon Flow Analysis, Subsystem Synergy Planning, and Pathway Development — the ISSP Framework provides a comprehensive approach to mapping, analyzing, and optimizing energy and carbon flows across diverse subsystems in the park. By leveraging advanced data management, econometric modeling, and dynamic carbon accounting, the ISSP Framework offers an adaptable, actionable pathway that supports national and global carbon reduction targets. This framework not only addresses short-term emission reduction targets but also provides a strategic roadmap for sustainable, long-term growth in industrial parks.
