Analysis of Security and Stability Characteristics in New Power System
As China's power grid development has entered the stage of constructing New Power System, it is essential to analyze in advance the new security and stability problems and challenges that will be brought to the power system by the change of power production structure and the change of power grid development pattern. Combined with the practical projects and the development trends of New Power System, this paper sorts out the typical transmission configurations of China's power systems from both current and future perspectives. At present, these configurations include large-scale renewable energy transmission through AC-DC systems, bundled transmission of renewable energy and thermal power, centralized transmission of high-proportion hydropower, large-capacity DC feeding to receiving systems, and high-penetration distributed generation into receiving systems. In the future, as the proportion of renewable energy increases, these existing configurations will persist, along with new configurations such as long-distance transmission from large wind and photovoltaic bases like Shagehuang and integrated hydropower-wind-photovoltaic transmission from regions like Southeast Tibet. Based on actual project cases, this paper identifies security and stability problems of the above typical transmission patterns, including voltage stability, power angle stability, and frequency stability. The research results of this paper will lay the foundation for the security and stability analysis and control research of New Power System in the future.
