The Review of Research on Demand-side Resource Market Mechanisms in Typical Regions of China

The participation of demand-side resources in the electricity market is the key measure to promote the construction of new power system. The scientific and reasonable market participation mechanism is an important guarantee for inspiring the flexible adjustment potential of demand-side resources. Therefore, this paper investigated and summarized the modes of demand-side resource participation in the electricity market, and puts forward relevant suggestions. Firstly, the current situation of demand-side resources participating in electricity demand response (DR), electricity ancillary service market and electricity spot market in five typical regions of China is summarized. Additionally, key issues and suggestions for the participation of demand-side resources in the electricity market are proposed. On this basis, the development path of demand-side resources participating in the electricity market is designed in three stages. It is desired that this paper can provide the reference for the development of China's demand-side resources participating in the electricity market.
