Adaptation Analysis of Polarized Light Orientation Methods Based on Rayleigh Model
Bionic polarized light orientation is an important complement to modern navigation techniques. Most existing polarized light orientation methods are based on the Rayleigh scattering model. However, in complex weather other than clear weather, the adaptability of the Rayleigh scattering model decreases, leading to a reduction in polarized light orientation accuracy. To solve the problem of degradation of polarized light orientation accuracy in complex weather, this paper reveals the influences of complex weather on polarized light orientation accuracy and the relationship between the Rayleigh point occupancy ratio and polarized light orientation accuracy. In addition, a preprocessing method for polarized light orientation based on polarization information is proposed. The results of outdoor static experiments show that the proposed method has higher accuracy and better robustness under complex weather. This paper presents a potential approach to improve the weather adaptability of bionic polarized light orientation in practical complex environments.
