Research on the Design Method for Flexibility Transformation of Thermal Power Generation
The flexible transformation of thermal power generation involves modifying various components to enhance their adjustability, speed of adjustment, and fast start-stop process. Flexible transformation enables coal-fired power generating units to operate smoothly at lower load conditions and have better peak shaving and frequency regulation capabilities, which is helpful for the consumption of new energy and ensures the reliable operation of power systems. However, the current design methods for flexible transformation face challenges such as vague design principles, difficulties in solution selection, and inadequate studies on profitability and economic analysis. Hence, this paper proposes a systematic design method for the flexible transformation to offer standardized design concepts for solutions and economic analysis.
