Propagation of Partial Discharge Ultrasonic Signal on the Surface of Cable Cold Shrinkable Tube
As the application of cables becomes more and more widespread, the number of cable joints gradually increases. It is of great significance to detect the ultrasonic signals generated by partial discharge of cable joints to prevent damage to the cable joints and affect the normal operation of the system. This paper measures the response of R15a type PZT at various places on the surface of the cable cold shrink joint, and then calculates the attenuation speed of the ultrasonic signal on the surface of the cable cold shrink joint and the axial distance required for the amplitude to attenuate to 90% of the peak value. The research results provide an important reference for ultrasonic non-destructive testing of cable joints and can provide support for joint surface defect detection and evaluation.
