A Mixed Four-Port Renewable Energy Converter based on Power Component Sharing
This article presents a new four-port power converter that mixes two boost converters with a phase-shifted-full-bridge converter. Two multiplexing arms are utilized in the structure to perform the function of phase-shifted-full-bridge, and at the same time, each arm with three power switches can be used to handle a boost converter, which can adjust the voltage conversion ratio between a PV and the battery. Therefore, the cost can be reduced, and the system can handle two groups of photovoltaic (PV) with one group of battery by using only six power switches.
