A Reconfigurable Three-Level Conversion Scheme for Power Router based on ANPC Flexible Modules
The power router (PR) is becoming an indispensable part of building energy Internet. However, due to the variety of power conversions in PR, it is difficult to unify the converters, which significantly limits the wide production and application of PR. Therefore, a reconfigurable three-level (3L) conversion scheme for PR based on active neutral-point clamped (ANPC) flexible modules is proposed in this paper. The 3L-ANPC can be used as DC/AC or AC/DC port in PR due to its superior harmonic performance and high efficiency. In addition, with the rich power switches in 3L-ANPC, it can be reconfigured as a 3L-buck/boost converter for the DC/DC port of PR. One side of the ANPC module is connected to the DC bus of PR, and the other side is connected to different sources or loads through a flexible switch. Various operation modes can be obtained by switching flexible switch and adopting different control strategies. Meanwhile, when a module fails, fault tolerance can be realized by accessing redundant modules. By using the proposed scheme, the utilization rate of hardware resources can be maximized under various conditions, thus greatly improving the flexibility and reliability of PR. Simulations verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
