The Design and Simulation of the Water Turbine Adjustment System Based on the Matlab

Hydropower generation, with its fast and stable regulation characteristics, the function in the power grid is gradually changing from power generation to power system regulation, which leads to frequent adjustment of working conditions in the operation of the turbine, no longer being a single power generation function, but more for grid frequency and amplitude regulation. Therefore, the hydraulic turbine regulation control system is required to meet higher requirements. This paper takes the mixed-flow Hydro turbine as the research object and briefly analyzes the basic composition and principles of the turbine regulation system. On this basis, the mathematical model of each part of the hydro turbine governor is established. and the computer simulation model is built using the simulation software MATLAB/SIMULINK. Two models, linear simulation model and nonlinear simulation model, are built, and based on these two models, frequency disturbance experiments under no-load conditions and load disturbance experiments are conducted. The paper focuses on the influence of PID parameter changes on the stability and dynamic response of the regulation system under nonlinear model conditions, and the influence of parameters such as the inertia time constant of the unit and the inertia time constant of the water flow on the dynamic quality of the system, and after the completion of the experiment, the differences and reasons of the simulation results between the linear model and the nonlinear model under the same parameter conditions were compared and analyzed, as well as the influence of system dynamic characteristics such as turbine inertia time constant and water flow inertia time constant on the system dynamic quality. After completing the shed load experiment, the differences and reasons for the simulation results under the same parameter conditions between the linear model and nonlinear model are compared and analyzed.
