Voltage Regulation and Reactive Power Sharing in AC Microgrids: A Non-cooperative Game Approach

In this paper, we propose a non-cooperative game (NCG) approach for trade-offs between voltage regulation and reactive power sharing in market-driven AC microgrids. Firstly, the NCG model is constructed, which contains both voltage regulation error and reactive power sharing error. Secondly, a power estimation algorithm is designed to obtain non-neighbor power information in the NCG model. Distributed renewable energy generators (DREGs) only need to share the estimated power values with neighbors. Then, a distributed Nash equilibrium search algorithm is introduced. This approach is proved to be stable under the NCG via the Lyapunov method. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed NCG-based approach for voltage regulation and reactive power sharing is validated through simulations on a 4-DG test microgrid.
