Co-Optimization of Active Support Capability for DER in Active Distribution Network
The integration of large-scale distributed energy resources (DER) brings more operational flexibilities to the distribution network. These flexible resources can provide active support services, including both the frequency and voltage control, to enhance the power system regulation capabilities. This paper proposes a collaborative optimization method of the active support capability for DER in active distribution network (ADN). The frequency and voltage control parameters of DERs are collaboratively optimized with their PQ power setpoints to meet the support requirements from the upper control center, while ensuring the nodal voltage security of the ADN. Case studies conducted on a modified IEEE 69-bus system demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
