Analysis of the Market Model for Adapting to High Proportion Hydropower During the Wet and Dry Seasons
The supply and demand of hydropower provinces have shifted from "surplus and shortage" to "dual shortage", and it is becoming increasingly difficult to accurately define the period of high and low demand, which has brought about a demand for the design of a coordinated market mechanism for hydropower. This article first analyzes the problems brought by the synergy of hydro thermal power, then proposes a market model that adapts to high proportion hydropower during the wet and dry seasons, and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the proposed model in a targeted manner. Finally, it provides design suggestions for market models suitable for high proportion hydropower provinces, hoping to provide useful references for promoting the construction of electricity spot markets in hydropower surplus provinces such as Sichuan and Yunnan.
