The Joint Frequency Regulation Strategy of Wind Power Plants and Energy Storage
The stable operation of new power systems relies heavily on the support of a large number of energy storage devices. The method of frequency regulation through the collaboration of wind power plants and energy storage devices has gradually become a popular focus in research. First, this paper proposes an effective method for assessing frequency regulation capabilities to evaluate the performance of different devices. Secondly, it delves into the frequency regulation mechanisms between grid-connected doubly-fed induction generators (DFIG) and energy storage systems, proposing an innovative wind-energy-storage joint frequency regulation method to optimize the overall system’s responsiveness. Finally, the paper systematically summarizes the applicable scope and respective advantages and disadvantages of various frequency regulation strategies, providing important references for future research.
