Profit analysis of electricity selling company under the deviation electricity assessment mechanism
As China’s power market infrastructure evolves, the complexity of its assessment mechanisms intensifies. This study examines the optimal operational model for power-selling entities, focusing on the interplay between peak load balancing services and the wholesale market within a distorted power assessment framework. The findings reveal that incorporating peak load balancing services can significantly boost revenues, from 0.011 CHY/kWh to 0.053 CHY/kWh. Additionally, a reduced linkage coefficient in the wholesale market correlates with a higher proportion of wholesale electricity purchase costs in the retail price structure, thereby diminishing the risk associated with wholesale price volatility and enhancing the stability of the power seller’s income.
