Comprehensive Benefits Assessment Framework for Orderly Integration of Electric Vehicles in Three-phase Distribution Networks
As the focus on carbon neutrality intensifies, the rapid expansion of electric vehicles (EVs) presents both opportunities and challenges for distribution networks. Accurately quantifying the benefits of orderly EV integration is essential for ensuring the safe and stable operation of distribution networks while maximizing their overall advantages. To address this, this paper conducts a thorough cost-benefit analysis and introduces a comprehensive benefit assessment framework designed to evaluate the impact of orderly EV integration on system performance. The framework offers a systematic definition and qualitative methods for various benefits, encompassing both operational and investment perspectives. Additionally, a multi-objective optimization model is developed to balance transaction costs, power quality, and reserve provision of EVs. This model incorporates refined three-phase distribution network models that address three-phase unbalance and grid losses, alongside a novel reserve provision model for EVs, enabling precise quantification of related benefits. Case studies validate the framework's effectiveness in highlighting the comprehensive benefits of orderly EV integration.
