Dynamic Route Optimization for Energy Storage and Exchange Vessels in Oceanic Island Groups Based on an Improved Particle Swarm Optimization
Oceanic-island groups are crucial to national marine strategy. To address mismatches between energy demand and renewable supply, where traditional energy solutions fall short, this paper introduces a multi-island cooperative model using shared inter-island electric vessels (SIEVs). By classifying islands into resource-rich and load-center types, SIEVs optimize energy transfer and collection across islands while also providing passenger transport, thus enhancing overall energy and transportation efficiency. An inter-island spatiotemporal optimization model, driven by an improved particle swarm algorithm, maximizes energy collection. Simulation results highlight the model's economic and sustainable benefits, offering a practical solution for optimized energy supply within island groups.
