Research on Unit Combination Optimization Model Considering the Change of Climbing Rate under Deep Adjustment of Coal fired Power Units

With the growth of global energy demand and the intensification of environmental problems, the development and utilization of new energy are facing challenges, and the comprehensive regulation and system optimization of coal-fired power and new energy have become hot topics. How to solve the coordination and integration problem between coal-fired power and new energy, and achieve stable operation and efficient utilization of the system, has become an urgent problem to be solved. The power structure in China is mainly composed of coal-fired power units, and improving the flexibility and deep peak shaving capability of coal-fired power units is the key. Traditional optimization scheduling generally takes minimizing system energy consumption or power generation costs as the optimization objective. Based on this, research has further extended the objective to new energy consumption and low-carbon environmental protection, proposing more comprehensive and balanced optimization models. However, there is still a lack of research on the changes in climbing rate of coal-fired power units after flexibility transformation. This article constructs a segmented climbing rate optimization model for coal-fired power units on AIMMS software, studies the unit combination optimization method considering changes in climbing rate, and verifies the effectiveness of the model based on provincial power grid data.
