Transient Voltage Stability Assessment of Hybrid Power System With Grid-Following and Grid-Forming Generation Units

To effectively assess the transient voltage stability (TVS) of hybrid power system, this paper presents an assessment method of TVS based on switching system maximum Lyapunov exponent (SSMLE). First, the voltage differential equations of the system under different operating conditions are established. Next, the SSMLE is calculated and revised to rapidly and accurately assess the system's transient voltage stability. Finally, simulation results investigate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Abstract

To effectively assess the transient voltage stability (TVS) of hybrid power system, this paper presents an assessment method of TVS based on switching system maximum Lyapunov exponent (SSMLE). First, the voltage differential equations of the system under different operating conditions are established. Next, the SSMLE is calculated and revised to rapidly and accurately assess the system's transient voltage stability. Finally, simulation results investigate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
