A Two-layer Optimal Scheduling Model for Wind-Photovoltaic-Thermal-Storage System Considering Synergistic Application Value of Energy Storage
Existing works on multi-energy complementary optimization scheduling primarily concentrate on the role of energy storage peak load reduction and off-peak load compensation to assist thermal power units with peak regulation. However, the broader application value of it remains to be fully explored in the wind-photovoltaic-thermal-storage combined system. To address this issue, we propose a two-layer optimal scheduling model that considers the synergistic application values of two scenarios. Energy storage can concurrently participate in the electricity energy market to obtain economic benefits. The upper layer concentrates on collaboratively optimizing the change/discharge power of the energy storage station. In the lower layer, the model cooperatively optimizes the output power of thermal power units. Simulation results of a typical day in the Xinjiang region demonstrate that the proposed model outperforms other optimal scheduling models, lowering the total operating costs of the combined system.
