Low-Carbon Dispatch of Distribution Network Considering Dynamic Carbon Emission Factor and Electrolytic Aluminum Load

A low-carbon dispatch model of the distribution network is proposed in this paper to exploit the potential of large industrial loads in supporting the economic and stable operation of the power system. The main contributions of the proposed model consist of two parts: the demand response (DR) model of the electrolytic aluminum load (EAL) and the dynamic carbon emission factor of electricity (DCEFE). In the DR model of EAL, the yield rate is considered as a nonlinear function of the power consumption instead of a constant, which further forms a precise daily production constraint. DCEFE is defined as a variable related to the fossil generation proportion, and combined with the carbon tax policy to guide the low-carbon production of EAL. The proposed model is validated by the designed numerical tests.
