Analysis of the Application of BeiDou DPE Positioning Technology in Power Grid Infrastructure Construction and Inspection
With the maturation of the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS), its applications in power infrastructure construction and automated line inspection have been continuously expanding and deepening. One of the critical challenges for traditional navigation terminals in urban complex environments is how to rapidly achieve high-precision positioning. The recently proposed Direct Position Estimation (DPE) method offers optimal position estimation based on the "navigation domain." This paper presents a fast DPE signal reception method based on the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) B1C signal, and analyzes the actual performance of DPE software reception in urban complex environments for the new BDS B1C signal. Additionally, a weighted model is designed to mitigate the impact of low-quality satellites on DPE. Experimental results show that, under the same coherent integration length and satellite geometry dilution of precision (GDOP), the DPE positioning method significantly improves positioning accuracy in urban complex environments compared to traditional methods. Moreover, the use of a well-designed weighted model can further enhance the performance of DPE.
