A Reliability Evaluation Method for Integrated Energy System with Hydrogen Considering Gas Inertia and Delay of Flow

This paper proposes a reliability evaluation method for electricity-gas integrated energy system (IEGS) with hydrogen considering gas inertia and delay of flow. Firstly, based on the mathematical models of coupled components and new energy sources of wind, solar and hydrogen in IEGS, the multi-energy flow calculation method and load shedding model are proposed. Secondly, the effects of gas inertia and delay of flow on the failure and recovery process of IEGS are demonstrated, and the model for modified IEGS timing process and load point reliability indices is derived. Thirdly, reliability indices and improved reliability evaluation methods applicable to IEGS with hydrogen are proposed. Finally, the effects of considering gas inertia and delay of flow, independent and coupled operation of the system, the addition of wind and solar units, and the utilization of hydrogen energy on the reliability of the IEGS are verified by combining with practical cases to prove the validity of the adopted method.
