An Integrated "Electricity-GEC-Carbon" Market Clearing Model on Urban-level Power Grid
With the adoption of carbon reduction policies, the power market is becoming more and more interfered by the carbon emission and green electricity certificate (GEC) markets. This paper investigates an integrated "electricity-GEC-carbon" market clearing model on the urban power grid in order to analyze the market interaction among the three markets. Case studies show that the market behaviors of generation units and the total carbon emission amount are deeply influenced by the market interaction.
