A New Type of Capacity Market Dispatch Model Considering the Available Capacity of Electrochemical Energy Storage Station
With the rapid growth of wind and photovoltaic power generation capacity, the system suffers from insufficient power generation capacity. To ensure sufficient power generation capacity in the power system, a capacity market mechanism is introduced. Compared with long construction cycle and high investment cost of large thermal power units, the electrochemical energy storage station has the advantages of short construction cycle, low investment and quick effect, which is an effective resource to provide power capacity for the system. This paper proposes a new type of capacity market dispatch model considering the available capacity of electrochemical energy storage station. The capacity market dispatch model not only considers power generating side of wind power, photovoltaic and traditional power units, but also increases the market participation of electrochemical energy storage stations on the power consuming side. The capacity market dispatch model considers peak capacity demand, basic capacity demand, power demand, valley load demand, climbing power demand and other system constraints. Finally, through analysis the impact of the available capacity of electrochemical energy storage station, total market capacity demand and installed capacity of renewable energy on the market dispatch results, the effectiveness of the new type of capacity market dispatch model considering the available capacity of electrochemical energy storage power station is verified.
