Wind Farm Coordinated Control Method Based on Wind Turbine Frequency Regulation Capability
With the low-carbon transition of energy systems and the increase in wind turbine installed capacity, significant challenges have arisen for the frequency stability of power systems. Therefore, integrating renewable energy sources into power system frequency regulation is crucial for improving the system's frequency characteristics. However, current frequency regulation (FR) control methods for renewable energy sources mainly focus on enhancing the frequency regulation capabilities of individual units, while lacking good adaptability for coordinated distribution between wind farms (WFs) and individual units. Based on the analysis of general frequency regulation control for wind power, this paper establishes a unit-level adaptive control strategy with rotor protection mechanisms. Then, a station-level parameter coordination control strategy is proposed, considering the differences in frequency regulation energy sources at different wind speeds. Finally, simulation verification based on the MATLAB/Simulink platform demonstrates that the proposed method can adaptively adjust the wind power frequency regulation parameters according to the grid frequency requirements, ensuring system frequency security while effectively enhancing wind power frequency regulation capabilities.
