A Coordinated Dispatch Method for Transmission and Distribution Networks with Multiple Virtual Power Plants
The energy transition has introduced a variety of small-capacity distributed energy resources (DER) to modern power systems. The concept of virtual power plant (VPP) has emerged as an effective approach to managing them. This paper considers the privacy of the VPP and proposes a hierarchical optimization dispatch method for multi-level power grids. The flexibility of the VPP is aggregated by using the bound shrinking method and its cost function is fitted with a quadratic function. Following this, the VPP is integrated into the system as a virtual generator, enabling it to coordinate with multi-level power grid scheduling. The coordinated economic dispatch (C-ED) of the transmission and distribution (T&D) network is achieved through a heterogeneous decomposition method (HGD).
