Optimal Dispatch of Clean Energy-Integrated Power System Considering Time-Varying Reserve Requirement Based on Time-Series Production Simulation Techniques

To enhance the complementary and intelligent adjustment capabilities of the power system, this study constructs a model of a clean energy-integrated power system considering power transmission and validates it through an 8760-hour scale case study. This research intends to tackle challenges from both the modeling and solution perspectives. First, the study establishes a production simulation model for a clean energy-integrated power system considering power transmission. The originating system includes four components: thermal power, cascaded hydropower, wind and solar power, and pumped storage, while the receiving system is primarily composed of thermal power. Second, the temporal operation simulation of the model is a critical aspect of the coordinated optimization of the clean energy-integrated power system considering power transmission. This research uses an 8760-hour scale case study for model verification, and due to the hourly scale of this case, its large size presents significant challenges for one-time solutions. In light of this, this study proposes an efficient solution algorithm that includes temporal decomposition, sequential rolling optimization, and automatic rollback in the case of infeasible solutions, successfully simulating the hourly operational process of the clean energy-integrated power system for an entire year. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed model is validated on the improved IEEE 6-bus system (originating system) and the IEEE 14-bus system (receiving system). This simulation results verify the proposed method effectively integrates widely distributed hydropower, wind power, and solar resources for the efficient utilization of large-scale clean energy.
