Evaluating Multi-dimensional Response Capability of Adjustable Resources in New Urban Power Grids
With the development of low-carbon energy, the overall regulation capacity of the power system is gradually declining. It is necessary to explore new regulatory resources within the modern urban power grid (NUPG) to support this. This article proposes a method for assessing the response capacity of adjustable resources in modern urban power grids, quantitatively evaluating their response capabilities. First, a method for assessing the response capacity of individual resources is proposed. This involves evaluating the online response capability of individual electric buses and central air conditioning loads, as well as their response capabilities under different scheduling instructions. Next, a multidimensional response capacity assessment method for adjustable resources based on BP neural networks is proposed. This method evaluates the multidimensional response capabilities of the aggregated units of electric bus load (EBL) and central air conditioning loads (CACL), including rapid response capability, sustainable response capability, and continuous response capability. Finally, a multi-dimensional response capability assessment method for the new urban power grid is proposed, which considers the consumption of load-side resources due to the internal operations of NUPG and presents the capability of regulating the net load for external purposes. The results indicate that the proposed model can effectively improve the accuracy of the aggregate unit response capability assessment, and quantitatively provide rapid, continuous, and sustained network-level response capabilities.
