Enhanced Day-ahead Dispatch of the Integrated Energy System in Wastewater Treatment Plants: Refining Treatment Process Modeling
To address the high energy consumption issues in wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), improving energy management is an effective approach. Therefore, accurately modeling the energy utilization and conversion across various stages of wastewater treatment is crucial. However, existing studies often overlook the tertiary treatment or simplify the modeling of its energy consumption. This paper proposes an enhanced day-ahead dispatch model for the integrated energy system in WWTPs, featuring a detailed model of the tertiary treatment based on reverse osmosis (RO) and the incorporation of energy recovery systems. Simulations conducted on a sample ROWWTP validate the effectiveness of the proposed model.
