Model Predictive Control of Three Phase DAB-LLC DC Converter

As one of the key enabling components, DC converter plays an important role in collecting distributed energy and interconnecting DC grids, for which both the controllability and efficiency are of great importance. This thesis presents three phase DAB-LLC converter topology, which uses the LLC as the main power transmission module, while the DAB module is used for DC voltage control. However, the dynamic response of traditional PI control is slow under complex conditions such as input voltage change and load sudden change. In this paper, model predictive control (MPC) of three phase DAB-LLC DC converter is proposed. The control strategy effectively improves the dynamic response of the system. Finally, the performance of the proposed proposed strategy is verified by both simulative studies and experiments of the hardware in the loop (HIL) technology.
